Moments in Time
For Christmas 2020 Joe Keith was gifted a photo album by one of his close friends. This album held the title “Moments in Time” across the front. On the inside it had space next to each 4x6 picture to write a few sentences. Immediately upon receiving this book, Joe began using it as a photo journal. Printing out one picture from every time he went out and writing about that day in the space next to the image. He worked on this journal from December 2020 to August 2021 until he had completed filled it.

The Moments in Time photo collection is a group of Joe’s personal favorite images from the 8-month project. Each image is accompanied by the journal entry that appears next to it in the photo album. While shooting for this series, Joe purposely avoided a particular subject matter or theme. Instead, he focused on trying as many different categories of photography as possible. He felt this strategy would be best, so that he could create a more focused project once this one was completed. This goal was achieved with Joe beginning work on his Homeland - Beaufort County series immediately after finishing this one.
