Coligny Beach is the most popular beach on Hilton Head Island. Growing up in Beaufort, Hunting Island was my beach, but since high school I have visited Coligny as often as Hunting Island. There is a beautiful contrast between the more exciting, tourism focused Coligny and the natural, relaxed Hunting Island. Going to one on them builds my appreciation for the other. 
Coligny Beach is the beach that I go to when I want to be accompanied by friends. My highlights from Coligny range from pulling an all-nighter to watch the sunrise after one of our first house parties, spraying champagne the night of my college graduation, watching the sunrise while there was snow on the beach (I wish I still had the picture from that morning), to all the countless days we walked down the beach for hours. Going to Coligny without my best and closest friends would feel empty. The summer days that we have spent together there are ones that I will cherish my entire life.
